Saint Catherine was one of the most important saints in the religious culture of the late middle ages. Being so popular there are countless representations of this Saint. This small woodblock print measures 75x95mm and was cut from cherrywood.

Based on the illustration from the Legendae sanctorum of 1486. Cut in limewood, 125x175mm, printed on handmade linen laid paper. Painted with brazil lake, yellow ochre and lamp black.
A deck of 48 playing cards of Latin suits - clubs, swords, coins and cups. Block print in ca. 350gr handmade linen laid paper. Vermillion, terra umbra, azurite and yellow ochre were used to paint each suit. The 1 of coins shows the printer's mark. This was inspired by extant partial decks, but the illustrations are original, based on incunables and other sources.
